OUR BEER

OUR BEER We like bold, full-bodied beers. We offer three unfiltered, unpasteurised St. Norbert beers on tap year-round: an Amber Lager, a Dark Lager and an IPA. We also brew seasonal beers that reflect the flavours and atmosphere of each time of year. Think refreshing American Pale Ale and rich, savoury Chocolate Stout. We brew with the finest Czech malts, yeast, and the best hops. From cold-hopping to wood ageing, we enjoy combining traditional and modern techniques. We are proud to hold onto our heritage, but we aren’t afraid to experiment! We do not filter or pasteurise beer. Currently we brew about 1,800 hectolitres each year, and 95% of this is enjoyed at our restaurant. But we also sell cans, so you can repeat your brewery experience at home. Want to know more? Dark copper coloured beer with savorous taste from sweet caramel to nice, but intensive bitterness. The aroma contains both citrus and resinous notes. Alc. 5,9% / 55 IBU / Hops: Chinook, Amarillo, Citra

Brown Ale
Makovec Bock
A stronger, sweeter Bock inspired by the Austrian dessert Mohnkuchen. Expect bold roasted poppy seed, fresh lime notes, and a hint of vanilla. Smooth body with a natural slight haze from poppy seeds and lime peel. Tastes like a poppy-seed cake with lime glaze in liquid form. Brewed with Czech blue poppy seeds from the Markovi family farm. Cooperation between Zichovec Brewery and Strahov. Alc. 7% / 12 IBU
